Hybrid Mail is the initiative by Postal Services Providers to exploit internet's opportunities and gather all post billing "processes" offering end to end services to the Mail Generators. The last are companies and organizations that periodically produce and send to the end customers, communications documents such as Telecom Invoices, Banking Statements, Reminder Letters, Amortization Letters, Direct Marketing Letters, etc.
Traditional mail is typically produced after data processing (printed, folded and enveloped) by the mail generator (banks, telecom operators, utility companies, other financial and insurance institutions, etc.) and then physically carried to the Postal Service Provider for physical distribution and delivery to the end customer.
The Enterprise Edition of i-docs aims to extend traditional postal services, to include taking data that will compose the final documents directly from the mail generator (in electronic form) and provide data processing, document generation, printing, enveloping, post processing, distribution services and other Value Added Services.

Issues Managed by i-docs:
Easy Administration
The mapping of the input documents into XML schemas as well as the design of the output forms and the definition of the related work flows can be done by non technical personnel with a minimum of training on the available tools included in the solution. In this way the mail generator or the postal service provider can respond quickly to a frequently changing regulatory or business environment.
Auditability
Internal and external auditing mechanisms require that the mail generator have access both to recent and older documents, can quickly locate specific documents and do a statistical analysis or other kinds of processing on them, as necessary.
Compliance and legal service support
Locating specific customer documents ad hoc after a request from legal authorities within a very limited time frame is a time consuming and costly issue. The solution allows easy access, reproduction or electronic transmission of such documents with minimum effort required. The current practice of document's cut and paste in order to produce a complete customer statement, admissible in a court of law as evidence, is one more issue where such a solution could greatly help, producing the required document as required automatically.
